IANA Trade Show

a headliner booth for a trade show accompanied by event materials and advertising.

As the lead designer on this booth, I created a fresh and new look for my client’s trade show booth with matching event materials such as give-away socks, a 44 foot shipping container wrap, digital screen ads displayed at the event, and surrounding advertising leading up to the event, including print ads in trade publications, social media, and banners.

My client wanted to make a splash and this booth, with 30 individual panels, was by far was the largest, most designed, and most curated on the floor. My strategy to distinguish them was driven by market research and past events. The industry historically does not emphasize design which meant a limited photography library and strict guidelines of what equipment could be shown at this show but I found ways to show images of the specialty equipment in a beautiful and unique way among the industry. I complemented the photography with a vector, line-style map that served as textural background on top of their primary brand colors. I set the images to shine large on the overhanging banners where they could be seen from every corner of the main room and used sharp, angular shapes derived from their logo to bring their brand into a modern and bold look. I attended the event in person and witnessed the overwhelmingly positive response to the booth from other participants.
